SAFETY COMMITTEE PAGE

As Chair of the Safety Committee, it is my goal to share pertinent and timely information that affects the safety of those people working in the field of wastewater. One of the most important aspects of the AWEA Safety Committee is to communicate information and new safety initiatives from the Water Environment Federation - Safety Committee back to the members of AWEA. In addition to WEF, numerous professional safety organizations such as the American Society of Safety Engineers, the National Safety Council, and the American Industrial Hygienist Association provide excellent resources and outreach programs. In service to the wastewater professionals across Arkansas and to the prevention of occupational injuries and fatalities, it will be the goal of the Safety Committee to share useful information, training opportunities, resources, and successes with those utility members of the AWEA Member Association.
